Tadeusz Rozewicz is one of the great writers of our time, internationally celebrated as a poet, dramatist, and prose-writer. He gained his reputation as the most important poet to emerge after the war with his first volume, Anxiety, which heralded a new harsh and stark poetic, an "anti-poetry" born of war-time experiences.
